The prophet Isaiah said in chapter 9, verse 6  “For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. Moreover, His name will be called Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”

Our decision to believe that God Almighty sent His only Son to the earth to save mankind remains unwavering. There is NO other way to be saved.

The importance of recognizing the birth and substitutionary work of Jesus Christ on the cross is at the core of our God-given ability to believe that God desires to save all of humanity.

Notice that Isaiah tells us that a child is born to manifest God's desire to give of Himself to help hurting humanity. God has given His only Son, His best. God's decision to give His finest should speak volumes to us about His decisiveness to put actions to His intentions.

A quality decision was required of God. A decision emanating from God's own heart desire to see humanity in a better place and in correct connection to Him.  It was God’s desire to see His children Blessed.

As we end the year 2011 and see 2012 in the horizon, let us accept God's gift.  Acceptance is by faith and by confession. It is up to each and every person to make a decision to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord, no one can be forced. Just as the Father gave His Son willingly we too must give up our life outside of Christ willingly and embrace all that Jesus has done for us.

As we accept our calling we will sense a greater zeal to spread the good news of Jesus wherever we go.  2012 is going to be a year of blessings, that start right NOW….in Jesus’ Name!
